My growing passion led me to study at the Oxford School of Hospitality Management, where I learnt how to successfully plan and manage events. But it was during my placement year, training at Florida’s prestigious ‘The Breaker’s Hotel’ that I truly realised my real vocation was to be a wedding planner. I was in awe, as I watched the event staff work behind the scenes with military precision and grace, ensuring everything looked amazing and felt perfect. The sheer joy of seeing happy couples celebrate the happiest day of their lives was mesmerising and as soon as one ceremony was over, I couldn’t wait for the next. And that’s still how I feel today.

With the knowledge from my studies, mixed with some serious planning sass from my time in Florida, I went on to build a successful career as an event manager, working in hotels in the US, UK, Germany, Poland, South Africa and Dubai and managing corporate and sports events. Over the years I honed my sense of what makes a successful event and developed a keen eye for detail, skills that would both prove invaluable on my quest to become the best wedding planner a bride and groom could ask for.

After four years working for a private events company in Dubai, I realised that my skills and my desire to organise ‘the perfect wedding’, together with top wedding suppliers, far surpassed the duties of an employee and so Rock Your Wedding was born! It really is a joy and privilege to have founded RYW, an enterprise where my sole purpose is to help my clients to design, plan and enjoy one of life’s most magical events.
